Rhinoplasty (Nose Job) in Antalya, Turkey
Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that I have been practicing frequently for many years. My experience in rhinoplasty has been reinforced by the training I have received in various countries of Europe and in many clinics in Turkey, especially in Istanbul and Ankara.
Planning in rhinoplasty should be personalized. It should be aimed to create a natural and stylish nose that can breathe comfortably in harmony with the facial structure and angles of the person. It is essential to apply current surgical methods and the latest technologies for successful results.
As a physician whose number of surgeries I have performed has already exceeded 2000, I must say that rhinoplasties are the surgeries where experience comes to the fore the most.
A breath of fresh air, a new look.
The aim of rhinoplasty surgeries is to provide a natural elegance that is compatible with the whole face of the person in line with the patient's wishes and the recommendations of the physician. In male patients, the lines should be sharper and more distinct, while in female patients, the transitions should be planned softer. In patients, the elegance can be increased according to the facial structure with a slightly raised tip of the nose and a slight curve on the back of the nose. The angle of the nose with the upper lip should be approximately 90 degrees in men and 105 degrees in women. Patient happiness is the most important criterion of success in aesthetic nose surgeries. The patient's expectations should be listened to seriously before the surgery. Then, with photoshop, other three-dimensional simulation studies, pictures and video studies, the ideal shape should be designed in line with the patient's expectations and the physician's recommendations.

Surgical Approaches and Techniques
Two main techniques are used in rhinoplasty surgeries. One of them is closed technique and the other is open technique rhinoplasty. In closed technique rhinoplasty, no incisions are made on the outer part of the nose and the skin of the nose. The procedures are performed only through incisions made inside the nose under a slightly more limited vision. In open technique rhinoplasty, a 4mm incision is made between the tip of the nose and the lip area from the lower part of the nose and performed under wider vision. With a good surgical application, it can be ensured that there is no scar in this area. The surgeon should know both methods very well and apply the appropriate technique according to the anatomical problems in the patient's nose.
If there are curvatures of the nasal cartilage (deviation), growth of the nasal flesh (turbinate hypertrophy), nasal polyps or sinusitis that prevent you from breathing with rhinoplasty surgery, these should also be performed in the same surgery. I often use radiofrequency technology, also known as laser, for nasal flesh growth.
The techniques we use in both open and closed aesthetic nose surgeries are as follows;
- Ultrasonik, piezo or diamond rinoplasti
- Preservation Rhinoplasty
- Push down rhinoplasty
- Let down rhinoplasty
- Reduction rhinoplasty
- Tiprinoplasti
Ultrasonik, Piezo or Diamond Rinoplasti
I use this technology in almost every rhinoplasty surgery. The underlying mechanism of piezo (ultrasonic) surgery is to file, cut or shape the bones with three-dimensional sound waves without breaking them.
Since soft tissues, vascular and nerve structures are not damaged with this procedure, healing is quite fast. Another advantage of this procedure is that postoperative swelling and bruises are considerably less than other methods and recover in a short time. With this technology, more elegant and stylish noses can be created much more easily.
In line with our experience in surgery, I aim to do the best without lagging behind technological developments and to maximize patient satisfaction. I am determined to be even more beneficial to our patients by closely following such new developments.
Frequently Asked Questions Before Rhinoplasty Surgery
When is Cartilage from the Ear or Rib Used in Nose Surgery?
The first choice in aesthetic nose surgeries should always be to use the patient's own bone and cartilage tissues in the nose. However, if there is not enough support cartilage in patients who have had several previous unsuccessful nose surgeries or severe nasal trauma, cartilage can be taken from the ear or rib. When this procedure is performed with the appropriate technique, it does not cause any deformity or loss of function in the auricle and ribs.
What are the procedures to be performed before nose surgery?
In the interview you will have before rhinoplasty surgery, be sure to share all the medications you are using and your habits such as smoking and alcohol use with your doctor.
As in all surgeries performed under general anesthesia, a number of tests are performed before the aesthetic nose surgery and the anesthesiologist is examined, and if the anesthesiologist does not see a problem with the patient having surgery, the surgery is approved. Fasting and dehydration is recommended for at least 6-7 hours before surgery. It is recommended to stop or switch to other medications (aspirin, coumadin, etc.) that increase bleeding and have a blood thinning effect before the operation.
How long is the postoperative hospital stay?
Since I use Piezo (Ultrasonic) technology in my surgeries, the bleeding healing process is quite fast. I discharge my patients who I operate in the morning in the evening on the same day or in the morning the next day.
When are plaster, sutures and tampons removed after surgery?
After aesthetic nose surgery, I remove the nasal tampons between 1 and 3 days and the plaster on the back of the nose usually on the 5th-6th day. I do not take these stitches because I put self-melting stitches into the nose. If I have applied open technique, I take the aesthetic stitches on the tip of the nose on the 5th-6th day. I send my patients coming from out of town or abroad to their homes easily after the 5th day.
Is nasal tampon removal a painful procedure? Which nasal tampons do you use?
I never use the cloth and large tampons used in previous nose surgeries because of the risk of intense pain and bleeding when removing them. I use silicone special tampons with a hole in the middle that will allow you to breathe comfortably. There is almost no pain and bleeding when removing the silicone tampon.
How soon can I return to work after surgery?
Aesthetic nose surgery is not a condition that requires continuous inpatient recovery. If you are working in a job that does not require intense effort, there is no harm in working after the 3rd day. If you are in a professional group such as construction sector, football player, basketball player (such as football player), which has a high probability of trauma to your nose, it will not be appropriate to work for 6 weeks.
Which surgeries can be performed together with rhinoplasty surgery?
Along with rhinoplasty surgery, problems such as enlargement of the nasal flesh (turbinate hypertrophy), curvature of the nasal cartilage (deviation), polyps, chronic sinusitis that make it difficult for us to breathe should be corrected in the same session. Apart from these, botox, filling procedures, eyelid aesthetics, facelift surgery, aesthetic procedures for the lips can also be performed together with rhinoplasty.
